2nd February 2020
The auditorium of The Kalyani School was bubbling with excitement that had a hint of sadness to it, as we celebrated Graduation Day for our Grade X students on Friday, 31st January, 2020. To kick things off, our Principal, Nirmal Ma’am first conducted a fun session with the students early in the morning. After the parents joined our celebrations, the event started with the lighting of the lamp and the prayer song. Then, our Principal took the stage and gave an amazing motivational speech that encouraged the graduates-to-be to never settle for less and to keep striving for success.
The spirits of the Grade X students were then lifted by our Grade IX students who put on a melodious show on the famous FRIENDS song, I’ll Be There For You! Finally, the process of felicitation began, with each student receiving a token of love and appreciation.
Next, it was time for the guest of honours, students of Grade X to take the stage. Devina Bajaj was the first to come forward and share her experiences, with Arpita Vashisht following, as they reminisced on their memories of the greatest years they spent in school! This story of taking a stroll down memory lane continued as our students were then shown a video that showed highlights of their time in TKS. As each student was lost in the memories of the time spent here, Satyendra Sir helped to add hope to achieving a successful future with his powerful words in Hindi.
It was during this time when everyone was in an emotional turmoil that our students from Grade IX lightened the mood with a fun dance performance and were followed by the teachers of Grade X. They surely received loud hoots and shouts of support! The students of Grade IX then put on a thought-provoking skit about the importance of parents understanding their children’s ambition and not putting too much pressure on them. On this high note, Deeksha Ma’am took the stage to deliver an astounding concluding speech. After this, we urged the parents to share their feedback and we were in for a great surprise as many parents shared heartwarming words about their journey with us. We couldn’t have been prouder!
The event was wrapped up by Abira Ma’am who delivered the vote of thanks and the students were dispersed for the last time before they became graduates. We are extremely proud of all our students and are sure they will reach greats heights of success and make the Kalyaniite tag proud!
