“Leadership is not a position or a title, it’s action and example!” – Massimo Monotone.
The Investiture Ceremony of The Kalyani School was held with great pomp and dignity. After all, it was that bittersweet time of the year again, where the school lets go of its fine captains and welcome new ones with open arms. The Investiture ceremony is extremely important for our school as we believe it signifies the reliance and confidence that the school places in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. We believe that this takes them one step closer to being responsible citizens of the country with the true potential and experience to lead.
The ceremony was held with lots of zeal and zest. It commenced with a prayer that signified the removal of darkness. The stage was then taken by Mrs. Nirmal Waddan, our Principal and Mrs. Deeksha Kalyani respectively as they shed some light on the importance of this event. Honouring last year’s leaders and school council members, good job cards were given to them as a token of appreciation.
After that, it was finally time for the event every member was looking forward to announcing the new leaders of the school. Badges and Scrolls of Honour were given to the new School Council Members as well as the New House Captains. Our Principal then handed over the School Flag to the newly elected Head Boy. As the Head Girl took the oath aloud, there wasn’t a single member of the audience who wasn’t filled with pride! Finally, it was time for the new members, Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captain Boy and Sports Captain Girl, to deliver speeches about their journey and what they aim to do with this new found responsibility.
Abira Ma’am delivered the Vote of Thanks, which was followed by the School Song. The function concluded with the National Anthem.
