We have a Reading program for Grades Jr. KG to III, effectively lead by a ‘Reading Specialist.’
We understand that confining learning to within four walls can be very boring and monotonous at times, so we have provided our students and teachers with open learning terraces where they can have curriculum based studies in the open. These open spaces also provide a platform to facilitate learning through various educational and recreational activities to develop the interactive skills and overall personality of the students.
First – Aid and Medical care is available to the students whenever required. The stock of most needed medicines and First- Aid materials are replenished before expiry and the students and staff members are provided prompt medical help whenever required. Two trained and experienced Nurses are on duty throughout school hours. Annual Health check-ups are also done for all students and the reports are shared with the parents.
The safety of students is of the utmost priority for TKS. A total of 335 CCTV cameras are installed at all the strategic locations of the school. A full time Safety and Security Officer has been appointed in the School and there is a BMS Room to monitor all the cameras that are in place.
All the buses are equipped with cameras and lady attendants travel on every bus, from the first to the last stop. Parent bearer cards are mandatory to pick up students, either from the school campus or from the bus stop.
Support Staff are assigned duty in the toilets to ensure safety of the students and they are trained to help in any emergency situation.
The school has installed a state of the art fire alarm system, throughout the building. Fire Safety drills and Evacuation drills are conducted regularly, without any pre-warning. All staff, including the teachers and support staff are given training annually, to use fire equipment and to learn all the emergency evacuation routes.
