The Kalyani School bid farewell to their Grade XII Board batch of 2024, through a very colourful and vibrant programme on 17th of January, at the Centre for Performing Arts. The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed guests, Mr. Baba Saheb Kalyani, Mrs. Sunita Kalyani, Mr. Amit Kalyani, and Dr. Mira Kheny. The programme was an emotional journey through the years that this batch of 2024 spent in the school as students. The outgoing batch and their parents were greeted at the school by the Members of the new Students’ Council. They were guided to the venue, where an array of cultural performances were conducted by the current Grade XI students, as well as the teachers. Every presentation was testimonial to the brimming emotions in the hearts of all the teachers and the students. The graduating batch too were teary eyed, when they came on the stage to be felicitated with mementos and citations. The Year Book 2024, was inaugurated by Baba Saheb Sir and Nirmal Ma’am; and its Editors, Divita Joshi and Shriya Kalyani, were felicitated for their commendable creative skills and diligence in creating it. When the to-be graduates were invited on the stage to share their reflections, they expressed their gratitude and deep love for the school, and promised to abide by the values and ideals they have grown up with, here. The parents too had only praises for the love and dedication shown by the teachers and the Management, in nurturing their children and in building their characters. The Kalyani School wishes the Graduating Batch of 2024 a seamless journey in their lives ahead. May they thrive with health, success and abundant happiness!
The Head Boy, Head Girl, the Sports Captains, Cultural Head and Social Initiatives Head, and the Prefects, were selected by the School Management and Core Team, keeping in consideration the academic and co-curricular performances of the candidates, and their code of conduct, during the last academic year. They were interviewed on two levels and the most suitable candidates were unanimously decided. Their names were also declared with those of the new House leaders. The previous SCMs had done an exemplary job by maintaining the high standards of the school in the past academic year, and worked in tandem with the teachers to ensure the seamless management of every event in school. To acknowledge their sincere and diligent contributions, Principal, Mrs. Nirmal Waddan felicitated the erstwhile SCMs with a letter of appreciation
The solemn programme, to invest the new leaders with their mantle of responsibility, was conducted at the Centre for Performing Arts, on 19th of December. The new SCMs pledged to do justice to the responsibilities bestowed on them, and always be unbiased and true to their roles, as they accepted the School Flag and Sports Flag from the authorities. The entire procedure, of campaigning, voting and the swearing-in ceremony, was conducted, like every year, following the same technique, as followed in our sovereign nation. The objective was not only to elect a body of school leaders, but also, to give the students a glimpse of the real election machinery of our country. The lessons they have learnt from it, will be significant in understanding their roles and responsibilities as Indians, when they grow up.
