As a fitting finale to a very eventful year, December 2024 was a hub of activities and events which were noteworthy in their incredible blend of poignancy and merriment. December began with the solemn ceremony of the Investiture of the new Student Council. Leadership is one of the most necessary skills for students of the present century, and through the process of Election and Investiture, these qualities are effectively fostered in the Kalyaniites. The Student Council, comprising the Head Boy, Head Girl, the Sports Captains, Prefects, Cultural Head, Social Impact Head, Captains and Vice-Captains, is a body of school leaders, who have the responsibility of maintaining discipline, of being part of each and every school activity, and of ensuring that the school’s dignity is upheld always.

On 3rd of December, the new SCMs were sworn in to their leadership roles in the presence of the school dignitaries, parents and students. The new leaders were handed over their mantle of honour and responsibility by Deeksha Ma’am, Nirmal Ma’am, Vice-Principals, Coordinators and House Mistresses and Co-House Mistresses. Deeksha Ma’am and Nirmal Ma’am congratulated them heartily and also reminded them of the solemnity of their roles. They urged the young leaders to be honest to themselves and to execute their duties with humility and integrity. The SCMs took Oath of Office and pledged to keep the School Flag always flying high. Their sincere promises resonated through the auditorium and filled the hearts of everyone present. The programme ended with a heart-touching ceremony, during which the erstwhile Student Council passed on their mantle to the new SCMs by lighting their lamps. We pray that this flame of wisdom and love be carried forth through all the generations of the Kalyaniites. May the doctrine of Akshayam Jnyanam always be our guiding light.
