Students from Grades VI to X represented The Kalyani School in Vagmita, a literary event in Hindi and Sanskrit, hosted by Delhi Public School, on 16th of October. They distinguished themselves with their exemplary performances and brought home laurels. Arjun Jain, of Grade X, won the First Prize in the Speech Competition. Ananya Komath, Niyati Asati, Avni Kharde, also from Grade X, received the Second Prize in ‘Vigyapan’. Shreya Kukanur, from Grade X, won the Second Prize in Sanskrit Illustration. Aayushi Chaudhary and S. Srivardhan, from Grade VIII received the Third Prize in Sanskrit Storytelling.

Keeyana Srivastava of Sr. KG, participated in the GEMA World Story Telling Competition '24, where young storytellers from around the globe can showcase their creativity and storytelling skills. She expressed her commendable language skills and added a spark of imagination in the event. She has been awarded a National Prize.

Kartik Nambisan and Karan Nambisan of Grade VII have done it again! They secured the 2nd and 3rd Positions respectively, at the Creative Writing Competition held by Wizkids Carnival. The competition has overall 4 levels, of which they both had performed commendably in the first two levels and have now qualified for the Semi-Finals, which is the 3rd Level. It is a National level competition and the proud winners brought home a Silver and a Bronze Medal, Certificates and books as their prizes.

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) India Championship Robotics Competition was held in Goa in the first week of June. Siddharth Rajagopal Bist from Grade VII and Darsh Ahuja from Grade VIII of The Kalyani School were a part of team ‘Horcruxes’ from Robominds (www.Robominds.in). . The team won the coveted ‘Inspire Award’ given to the best-performing team. The participants demonstrated excellence in teamwork and proved their technological superiority in the competition. The Award validates that the Kalyaniites have made a very positive impression with their brilliant minds and are ready for more.

Karan Nambisan and Kartik Nambisan from Grade VII participated in a Toastmasters Speech Contest called ‘Leo's Li'l Speech Masters Season – 9’, conducted by the Gavel Club of Amanora in Pune on 1st and 2nd of June. More than 80 participants across the age bracket of 7 to 15 years participated. It was a tough competition with 3 rounds. Both the Kalyaniites had worked hard on their speeches and diction during the summer vacation, and their sincere efforts bore fruits when Karan won Third Place, and Kartik was among the top 10 finalists. They were awarded with a certificate and trophy.

Karan Nambisan and Kartik Nambisan of Grade VI, participated and won the1st and 3rd positions respectively, in the Leo's Li'l Speech Master - Season 8 Competition, conducted by the Toastmasters Gavel Club of Amanora, on the 11 th of June, 2023. They won the coveted title in the age group of 11 to 13 years, in a nerve wracking competition of 3 Rounds - 2 levels of PreparedSpeech and finally, an Impromptu Speech. The Kalyaniites applaud their speaking and presentation skills, and wish them more success in the future.

Krishika Sengupta from Grade II has won Second Position in the level 1 rounds of Wizkid Premier League across all participating schools in the Master OratorCompetition. In the 6-8 years category, organized by Wizkids Carnivals too, she was one of the Finalists, selected from about 10,000 entrants. She was awarded a Certificate and Finalist Trophy. The Kalyaniites congratulate her on this significant achievement, and wish to see her attain greater heights across academic and extracurricular platforms.

Maithili Jagdale from Grade IV has made us proud by receiving awards in the All India Kids' Premier League, held by Wizkids Carnival. In Recite-it (Category - 9-11 age group), she was awarded the 2nd Runner up Trophy, Certificate and a Scholarship of Rs. 2000. In Color Wizard (Category - 9-11 age group) she received the Finalist's Trophy and Certificate. The Competitions were conducted between April and July, 2023, in both online and offline modes.Students from 39 cities participated in theSemifinals and Final rounds. We congratulate Maithili for her outstanding performance and wish her more success in the coming years.

As a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav(AKAM), a campaign on celebrating ‘Rashtriya Boudhik Sampada Mahotsav’, CSIR Institutes conducted a workshop on ‘Patent for Beginners’ at CSIR-NCL, on 11th of July, to create awareness of Intellectual Property (IP) among school students at an early stage. A Quiz Competition was conducted after the workshop, in which Shaurya Singh of Grade XII secured the First Prize. We are proud of his achievement, and wish him more success in life.

The young budding authors of TKS won the Wizkids Award in the Creative Story Writing Competition for the age group 12 to 15. They won great commendations and have come home with laurels. It was conducted at Symbiosis International School, Viman Nagar, on the 9th of November. The topic was given to the participants beforehand, but they were expected to add a twist on the spot, and the Kalyaniites did that with a flair. The achievers are from Grade VII, and they are: 1st Runner Up - Karan Nambisan, 2nd Runner Up - Aryan Arora Honorary Prize - Kartik Nambisan.

The students of Grade XII took part in the first Intra-school Business Plan Competition, ‘Pitch Perfect - Battle of the Business Plans’, which had begun in September. The Final event took place on 16th of November, at Christ University, Lavasa, in which the TKS contenders, Aarav Gaglani, Drishti Agarwal and Vidushi Chowksey, succeeded in securing the Second Position, with their originality of idea and creativity; the positive impact on the community or environment; and the clarity, professionalism, and engagement in their presentation. Along with the Certificates, they also received a prize amount of 10,000 rupees. This was a first ever achievement of our school students in this sector

In a Quiz Competition organised by Times of India for the students of Grades VIII to X at the Ganesh Krida Rangmanch, the participating students of TKS, confidently qualified the Elimination Round and reached the Semi-Finals. It was a great learning experience for the students. They were quizzed on their Logical Reasoning, Basic Maths, General Awareness, and each one displayed a commendable scientific temperament while answering the questions. We congratulate their success in the Competition.

In the District level Behes Competition, conducted by Lexicon School, Wagholi, on 16th and 17th of December, the participants from TKS have impressed the adjudicators with their skills of articulation, logical thinking and confidence. Drishti Agarwal of Grade XI, achieved the Fourth Position (Gold) in the 14-18 years category, and qualified for the Nationals, in the Lions’ group. Sia Jakhetia, also from Grade XI, achieved the Seventh Position (Silver), and qualified for the Nationals. Arjun Dwivedi, Dhruv Iyer from Grade IX ranked Twelfth (Silver), Eighth (Silver), respectively. They were qualifiers for the Nationals too. Suvir Arora, of Grade IX, achieved the Third Position (Gold). He was the Champions’ team leader and Nationals’ qualifier. The entire team has made a mark with their achievement, and we wish them the very best for the National Rounds, which will be conducted later this month.

It was conducted at the District level, from 17th to 19th of January, at the Sanas Ground, Swargate. In the same event, Kamira Mulchandani from Grade VI, achieved the Third Place and Meera Poplee from Grade VII got Fourth Place.

The TKS Athletes have delivered a remarkable performance in the CBSE Cluster IX Athletics Meet, securing the 2nd Runners-up Championship Trophy, with 67 points and 19 medals. 77 schools participated in the Meet, which was held at the Sanjay Ghodawat International School, Atkari, Kolhapur, from 4th to 7th of September.

The girls of The Kalyani School decided to bid farewell to 2023 with resounding success. They left a blazing mark on the tracks, at the District level event, 'Rise-up Women Athletics Competition', which was organized by the Pudhari Newspaper, from 28th to 30th of November, at Baburao Sanas Ground, Swargate, Pune. We are very proud of them indeed. Go Girls, Go!!! Mishika Chaubey and Aarna Chavan, of Grade III, got First Position in the 50 m run and 100 m run respectively, in the U-9 category. Mishika Chaubey, Ananya Jerath, Naira Hebbar and Aarna Chavan of Grades II and III, got the Second Position in 4x50 m Relay Race in the U-9 category. Aarna Chavan of Grade III, achieved First Position in Long Jump in the U-9 category. In the U-11 category, Kamaira Mulchandani of Grade V, achieved First Position in High Jump. Vidhi Lade of Grade VIII, achieved the Third Position in 80 m Hurdles, in the U-13 category. Nayna Puri, Urvi Jain, Saachi Mundada, and Naisha Doru of Grades X and XI, achieved Second Position in 4x400 m Relay, and Third Position in 4x100 m Relay. Nayna Puri of Grade XI won the Third Position in Long Jump; and Saachi Mundada of Grade XI, achieved the Second Position in the 800 m Run in the U-19 Girls' category.

Celebrating the exceptional talents at the ZP Athletics Competition! Ridam Satre, a student of grade X, soared to an impressive 2nd place in Triple Jump among U19 Boys. The event, organized by the Pune Municipal Corporation and the District Sports Office, Pune, took place from October 16th to 19th, 2023, at the Baburao Sanas Sports Ground, Swarget. Ridam's dedication and skill shine at the district level! Naisha Doru, also in grade X, showed her prowess in U19 Girls by securing 2nd place in Triple Jump, 4x100 Relay, and 4x400m Relay. Her remarkable achievements were part of the same ZP Athletics Competition. Nishtha Upadhyay, a grade XII student, excelled in the U19 Girls category, securing 2nd place in 800m run, 4x100m Relay, and 4x400m Relay. Maanya Utreja, another grade XII student, stood out by clinching 2nd place in the 4x100m Relay and 4x400m Relay in the U19 Girls category. Siya Piyush, a grade IX student, exhibited her skills by securing 2nd place in the 100m Hurdle for U17 Girls. The U-14 Girls Handball Team of The Kalyani School, from Grades VI to VIII, secured 1st Position in the Zilla Parishad Handball Competition held in Pragati Vidyalaya, Kaleborate, Hadapsar, on 4th and 5th of October. They represented Pune in the Division level Competition, at Sangamner, Ahmednagar on 25th and 26th of October and secured the First Position again. The Pune U-15 Girls Handball Team secured the Third Position in the Sub-junior Boys and Girls Handball Tournament, organized by SVKM's Mukesh R. Patel Military School, at Shri Vile Parle, Kelvani Mandal, Dhule. The event was conducted on 24th and 27th of November. It was a state level tournament. To make this achievement even more special was the outstanding performance of Asmi Gupta of Grade IX and Swarali Raskar of Grade VII, who were selected to represent the Girls Team.

TKS U-17 Girls Handball team secured the Second Runners-up position in the Flames Maidan Competition organised by Flames University, Lavale, on 23rd of November. It was a District level Competition and the team had to face a tight contest to reach the final stage. On 15th of December, the TKS Girls' Handball teams participated in the Viva Handball Competition, at VIBGYOR School, NIBM. It was a District level Competition and each team performed commendably on the fields. The students of Grades V to VII brought home laurels, by winning Gold, and lifting the Winners' Trophy, in the U-12 category. Grades V and VI girls, also in the U-12 category, were the Second Runners-up and got Bronze. The U-10 girls of Grades IV and V were the First Runners-up and received silver medals. The U-14 girls, from Grades VII to IX, also achieved Silver. Their Competition was conducted on 16th of December. The Grade VII and VIII U-14 team were the Second Runners- up, and received Bronze.

The Kalyani School U-14 and U-17 Boys' Teams lifted the Orbis Football Cup, at the District level Competition on 16th and 17th of October, held at The Orbis School, Mundwa. The participants of the U-14 team were Shaurya Aditya, Shrihan Soni, Vivaan Nihalani, Arnav Tiwari, Adhyant Ahuja, Vedaang Berry, Garv Buttan, Samanyu Dixit, Vihaan Shah, Gohaan Motwani, Ved Misra and Ayansh Yadav. The participants of the U-17 team were Neil Rajani, Devansh Jobanputra, Parth Desarda, Akshat Singh, Jay Kore, Veer Gurbaxani, Aditya Lakhotiya, Rachit Sharma, Kabeer Poplee, Edwin Alex and Aarav Nayar.

The Girls' U-17 team took the 1st Prize, proving their mettle against all the other contestants. The TKS participants were Ahana Bandopadhyay, Saachi Mundada, Nayna Puri, Nayra Puri, Tanvi Wigh, Urvi Jain, Gianna Khanna, Jagruti Tejwani and Naisha Doru. In the same Tournament, in the Boys' category, the U- 17 Boys of The Kalyani School Football team were the Runners-Up. On 6th of August, the Under-14 team of our accomplished Footballers secured 3rd place amongst 80 teams in the Subroto Mukherjee Football Cup by defeating St Vincent’s High School by 4 goals to 2. Our boys of the Under 14 Football Team came home triumphant, beating the Bishop’s Undri team by 2-0 at the Bishop’s Invitational Football Tournament in the Final Match, on 23rd of July. The Kalyani School boys shone in the sports field this summer. The Under 14 team brought home the Football Victory Cup, 2022 on 5th of May. They defeated the opposite team by 5-1 in the finals at Legends 13 Sports Club, Bibewadi. The boys of Grade XII brought in more accolades, when they won the Summer Fest on 22nd May, at PSA Sports Arena – Gangadham. May our heroes continue to amaze us and do us proud.

Ishaan Muzamdar has been selected for State level to represent Pune District team for Basketball state championship. They are selected on their performance in the recently concluded Pune District Basketball Championship at deccan gymkhana.

Ishan Muzumdar participated in the Sub-junior U-16 Basketball District Championship, conducted by the Ad-Hoc Committee, in association with Deccan Gymkhana, Pune, from 26th of April to 1st of May. The team emerged winners at the championship, and Ishan was selected for a preparatory camp for the upcoming State Basketball Championship. We are proud to announce that out of 24 candidates, Ishan was selected in the final team of 12 players, to represent Pune District At the State Basketball Championship, held at Aurangabad from 19 th to 23rd of May. Team Pune emerged winners at the State Basketball Championship. This remarkable feat is just the beginning, and we wish Ishan a lot more success in his life ahead.

The U-19 Boys' team won the CBSE Basketball Championship, conducted at Sinhagad Public School, Kegaon, and qualified for the Nationals, which will be held in Delhi. The U-14 Boys' team won a Bronze Medal. Our U-19 Girls' team were the winners in their category, and they too have qualified for the Nationals, which will be held in Indore

At the Indus Cup Basketball Competition, conducted at Indus International School, Bhugaon, on 12th & 13th of April, the TKS boys once again proved their mettle. The U-13 and U-15 teams were the Winners, and the U-13 and U-15 Girls were the Runners-Up of the Competition. Vedant Singh of Grade X and Ansh Sharma of Grade VIII were declared the Best Players. In the Football Competition too, the U-15 Kalyaniites were no less prominent. They also brought home the Runners Up trophy.

On 23rd of April, the boys of The Kalyani School team won the U-12 12 Crick 18 T20 Cricket Final Match against A-Square Cricket Academy by 62 Runs. They became the Champions in the Open Inter Club Tournament, in the U-12 age category. The tournament was conducted at Kings Cricket Ground (Dhanori, Pune). Rajveer Undre was declared the Best Bowler of the Tournament. He was also the Man Of the Series. Sarva Singh won the title of Best Batsman of the Tournament.

In Khel Utsav Tournaments, played in the month of February, the TKS U-14 Boys’ Team won the Mumbai Indians Jr. 1st match against Aryans World School, by 6 wickets. They were the winners in the second match too, beating Prodigy School by 9 wickets. The 3rd match was played against Jai Hind School, where again the TKS team won by 168 runs to reach the Semi-finals.

He has secured 1st Position in not just one, but three events at the U-19 Boys’ Pune Division Swimming Competition held in Balewadi, on 10th of October, at the Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sports Complex Swimming Pool. Zidaan Nalwala, of Grade IV, took part in Oceankids 500 m, at Oceanman World Finals in Phuket, Thailand. There were 13 bands who had participated from Pune, and the Kalyaniites stood out, as usual. The month of November commenced with a melodious success. The Senior Band of The Kalyani School, Astrium, brought home the Third Prize in the Battle of Bands Regional Audition, conducted on 1st of November, at The HDFC School. The Kalyani School U-14 and U-17 Boys’ Teams lifted the Orbis Football Cup, at the District level Competition on 16th and 17th of October, held at The Orbis School, Mundwa. The young budding authors of TKS won the Wizkids Award in the Creative Story Writing Competition for the age group 12 to 15. They won great commendations and have come home with laurels. It was conducted at Symbiosis International School, Viman Nagar, on the 9th of November. The topic was given to the participants beforehand, but they were expected to add a twist on the spot, and the Kalyaniites did that with a flair. The achievers are from Grade VII, and they are: 1st Runner Up - Karan Nambisan, 2nd Runner Up - Aryan Arora Honorary Prize - Kartik Nambisan.

The Pune U-15 Girls Handball Team secured the Third Position in the Sub-junior Boys and Girls Handball Tournament, organized by SVKM's Mukesh R. Patel Military School, at Shri Vile Parle, Kelvani Mandal, Dhule. The event was conducted on 24th and 27th of November. It was a state level tournament. To make this achievement even more special was the outstanding performance of Asmi Gupta of Grade IX and Swarali Raskar of Grade VII, who were selected to represent the Girls Team.

The students of Grade XII took part in the first Intra-school Business Plan Competition, ‘Pitch Perfect - Battle of the Business Plans’, which had begun in September. The Final event took place on 16th of November, at Christ University, Lavasa, in which the TKS contenders, Aarav Gaglani, Drishti Agarwal and Vidushi Chowksey, succeeded in securing the Second Position, with their originality of idea and creativity; the positive impact on the community or environment; and the clarity, professionalism, and engagement in their presentation. Along with the Certificates, they also received a prize amount of 10,000 rupees. This was a first ever achievement of our school students in this sector

In the Harmony Sports Fest organised by Dhruv Global School, on 22nd of November, the TKS U-15 Boys’ and U-15 Girls’ teams, have brought home accolades once again. Both the teams secured the Runners-Up positions in their respective categories. The Boys’ team comprised Shaurya Aditya, Atharva Satav, Kanav Zawar, Vedaang Berry, Abrahim Somjee, Samar Shah, Vivaan Jaggi and Harshil Shah. Tilak Bhimrajka of Grade X and Amishi Garg of Grade VI took part in an Inter-school Monsoon Drawing Competition, which was organised by Sadhu Vaswani International School. The event was conducted on 19th of July, in the school premises. Tilak won the First Prize in the senior category and Amishi received a Certificate of Appreciation for her laudable performance.

On May 6th, the Final match of the U-14 Star 11 T25 Interclub Cricket Tournament was played at the Rock 27 Cricket Ground, Loni Kalbhor. The Kalyani School Boys’ team beat their opponents, Rock 27, by 93 runs. Ansh Tilloo was declared the Best Bowler, and Neel Takale the Best Batsman of the Tournament. We congratulate the proud champs on their commendable feat and wish them success in all the matches to come.

At the Indus Cup Basketball Competition, conducted at Indus International School, Bhugaon, on 12th & 13th of April, the TKS boys once again proved their mettle. The U-13 and U-15 teams were the Winners, and the U-13 and U-15 Girls were the Runners-Up of the Competition. Vedant Singh of Grade X and Ansh Sharma of Grade VIII were declared the Best Players. In the Football Competition too, the U-15 Kalyaniites were no less prominent. They also brought home the Runners Up trophy.

On 23rd of April, the boys of The Kalyani School team won the U-12 12 Crick 18 T20 Cricket Final Match against A-Square Cricket Academy by 62 Runs. They became the Champions in the Open Inter Club Tournament, in the U-12 age category. The tournament was conducted at Kings Cricket Ground (Dhanori, Pune). Rajveer Undre was declared the Best Bowler of the Tournament. He was also the Man Of the Series. Sarva Singh won the title of Best Batsman of the Tournament.

VIBGYOR School, Magarpatta, conducted a series of Competitions on 25th & 26th of November, in which the Kalyaniites displayed their skills brilliantly on the Basketball courts at the District level, and made us all proud as usual. In the U-14 category, the boys of Grade VI to IX, took the Runnersup Silver Trophy. The U-14 Girls lifted the Winners’ Gold Trophy. They also have qualified for Round II. Vanya Agarwal was declared as the MVP of the Tournament. In the U-12 Boys’ category, the young Kalyaniites got Bronze, by acquiring the 2nd Runner-up position. In a Quiz Competition organised by Times of India for the students of Grades VIII to X at the Ganesh Krida Rangmanch, the participating students of TKS, confidently qualified the Elimination Round and reached the Semi-Finals. It was a great learning experience for the students. They were quizzed on their Logical Reasoning, Basic Maths, General Awareness, and each one displayed a commendable scientific temperament while answering the questions. Vidhi Lade of Grade VIII, achieved the Third Position in 80 m Hurdles, in the U-13 category. On 15th of December, the TKS Girls’ Handball teams participated in the Viva Handball Competition, at VIBGYOR School, NIBM. It was a District level Competition and each team performed commendably on the fields. The students of Grades V to VII brought home laurels, by winning Gold, and lifting the Winners’ Trophy, in the U-12 category. Grades V and VI girls, also in the U-12 category, were the Second Runners-up and got Bronze. The U-10 girls of Grades IV and V were the First Runners-up and received silver medals. The U-14 girls, from Grades VII to IX, also achieved Silver. Their Competition was conducted on 16th of December. The Grade VII and VIII U-14 team were the Second Runners-up, and received Bronze.

In the District level Behes Competition, conducted by Lexicon School, Wagholi, on 16th and 17th of December, the participants from TKS have impressed the adjudicators with their skills of articulation, logical thinking and confidence. Drishti Agarwal of Grade XI, achieved the Fourth Position (Gold) in the 14-18 years category, and qualified for the Nationals, in the Lions’ group. Sia Jakhetia, also from Grade XI, achieved the Seventh Position (Silver), and qualified for the Nationals. Arjun Dwivedi, Dhruv Iyer from Grade IX ranked Twelfth (Silver), Eighth (Silver), respectively. They were qualifiers for the Nationals too. Suvir Arora, of Grade IX, achieved the Third Position (Gold). He was the Champions’ team leader and Nationals’ qualifier. The entire team has made a mark with their achievement, and we wish them the very best for the National Rounds, which will be conducted later this month.

Celebrating the exceptional talents at the ZP Athletics Competition! 🏅 🌟 Ridam Satre, a student of grade X, soared to an impressive 2nd place in Triple Jump among U19 Boys. The event, organized by the Pune Municipal Corporation and the District Sports Office, Pune, took place from October 16th to 19th, 2023, at the Baburao Sanas Sports Ground, Swarget. On 10th of September, the students of TKS participated in the ‘Annual State Level Karate Championship, 2023' and the Trophy for the 2nd Position. They gave a laudable performance by winning multiple medals in this Championship.

In Khel Utsav Tournaments, played in the month of February, the TKS U-14 Boys’ Team won the Mumbai Indians Jr. 1st match against Aryans World School, by 6 wickets. They were the winners in the second match too, beating Prodigy School by 9 wickets. The 3rd match was played against Jai Hind School, where again the TKS team won by 168 runs to reach the Semi-finals.

With immense pleasure we would like to share that our school band won the Third Position in the Inter School Music Band Competition held on 17th of November at Euro School, Kharadi. There were 13 bands who had participated from Pune, and the Kalyaniites stood out, as usual. The proud participants were, Aniruddh Nambudiri, Astha Joshi, Vanshika Singh, Ivan Ambep, Nandgopal Verma and Naisha Doru. Congratulations team TKS! We are proud of you.

On 6th of August, the Under-14 team of our accomplished Footballers secured 3rd place amongst 80 teams in the Subroto Mukherjee Football Cup by defeating St Vincent’s High School by 4 goals to 2. It was another feather in the cap for the young heroes, who are balancing their academics and sports interests admirably well. May they go from strength to strength.

Our boys of the Under 14 Football Team came home triumphant, beating the Bishop’s Undri team by 2-0 at the Bishop’s Invitational Football Tournament in the Final Match, on 23rd of July. The ever increasing number of trophies prove beyond a doubt, that The Kalyani School is becoming a name to reckon with, in the field of sports too.

The Kalyani School boys shone in the sports field this summer. The Under 14 team brought home the Football Victory Cup, 2022 on 5th of May. They defeated the opposite team by 5-1 in the finals at Legends 13 Sports Club, Bibewadi. The boys of Grade XII brought in more accolades, when they won the Summer Fest on 22nd May, at PSA Sports Arena – Gangadham. May our heroes continue to amaze us and do us proud.
