Ishaan Muzamdar has been selected for State level to represent Pune
District team for Basketball state championship. They are selected on
their performance in the recently concluded Pune District Basketball
Championship at deccan gymkhana.
Ishan Muzumdar participated in the Sub-junior U-16 Basketball District Championship,
conducted by the Ad-Hoc Committee, in association with Deccan Gymkhana, Pune, from 26th
of April to 1st of May. The team emerged winners at the championship, and Ishan was selected for a preparatory camp for the upcoming State Basketball Championship.
We are proud to announce that out of 24 candidates, Ishan was selected in the final team of 12 players, to represent Pune District At the State Basketball Championship, held at Aurangabad
from 19 th to 23rd of May.
Team Pune emerged winners at the StateBasketball Championship. This remarkable feat is just the beginning, and we wish Ishan a lot more success in his life ahead.
Ruhaan Bandyopadhyay, of Grade V has won the Gold Medal in Under-12
Inter
School Professional Inline Skating Championships, which was conducted on
16th of April, at Oxford World School, Kharadi. We congratulate him
heartily
and wish him more success in the coming future.
The Kalyani School students continue their success story on the sports
fileds, without being deterred by the unspeakable heat. The boys of the
U-14
Football team won the Finals against Ryan International by 4-0 and
became
Champions of the Indus Cup. Kudos to you. You indeed do us proud.
Jyash, a Grade VII student of The Kalyani School, now holds a Guniess
Record, for an amazing achievement. He had identified 30 National
Anthems
from their lyrics, in a period of just 60 seconds. We tip our hats off
to
him. May his journey on the path of glory continue unhindered.
The girls of TKS are never to be left behind either. The U-14 Girls
Basketball team won the Finals against Wisdom World School. A huge
congratulations to them. May they continue to excel and keep the School

flying high always.
Hitansh, of Grade VIII, has been selected for the Under-17 State Open
Chess
Championship, to represent Pune District at Buldana. Only seven
participants
have been given this rare honour, and we are proud that Hitansh is one
of
them. Keep going Hitansh!
Zidaan, of Grade III, continued with his sports feats this month too. In
the
59th Sunk Rock Light House to Gateway of India Sea Swimming Race in
Mumbai,
he bagged the 3rd Position, in the 1 km for 8-9 year category. He
finished
in 17 minutes 51 seconds. Great going Zidaan! We wish to see you going
from
strength to strength.
In Khel Utsav Tournaments, played in the month of February, the TKS U-14
Boys’ Team won the Mumbai Indians Jr. 1st match against Aryans World
School,
by 6 wickets. They were the winners in the second match too, beating
Prodigy
School by 9 wickets. The 3rd match was played against Jai Hind School,
where
again the TKS team won by 168 runs to reach the Semi-finals.
U-14 Girls Handball team stood 2nd in the ZilhaParishad District
competition.

Ananya Mahale , from Grade I C, has secured the First Position in the
Science Olympiad IGKO. Even at such a tender age she is all poised to
touch
the skies. Our best wishes are with you for all your future ventures,

The students of Grade V represented The Kalyani School in the
prestigious
United Nations World Geospatial International Congress (UNWGIC). They
had to
research and speak on ‘Sustainability in Cities and Communities’. Kartik
Nambisan and Siddhi Chari made quite a mark by giving a very laudable
presentation and impressed the audience with their confidence and poise.

With immense pleasure we would like to share that our school band won
the
Third Position in the Inter School Music Band Competition held on 17th
of
November at Euro School, Kharadi. There were 13 bands who had
participated
from Pune, and the Kalyaniites stood out, as usual. The proud
participants
were, Aniruddh Nambudiri, Astha Joshi, Vanshika Singh, Ivan Ambep,
Nandgopal
Verma and Naisha Doru. Congratulations team TKS! We are proud of you.
Hridhaan Shah of Grade VIII, won 1 st Prize in the Boys’ U-13 category
at
the 6th CMS Borneo Junior Squash Open 2022, which was held at Sarawak,
Malaysia. More glories to you Hridhaan!!
The Kalyaniites continue to take the sports field with a flair.
Recently,
Sai Agate, of Grade XII, secured the second position in the team event
of
the Soft Tennis State Tournament in Solapur. Keep going, Sai. Kudos to
you!!
On 6th of August, the Under-14 team of our accomplished Footballers
secured
3rd place amongst 80 teams in the Subroto Mukherjee Football Cup by
defeating St Vincent’s High School by 4 goals to 2. It was another
feather
in the cap for the young heroes, who are balancing their academics and
sports interests admirably well. May they go from strength to strength.
On 23rd and 24th of July, The Kalyani School students participated in
the
Invitational State Level Karate Championship, 2022 and gave a splendid
performance by winning multiple medals in all the categories. We
congratulate and wish the participants and the awardees the very best in
future events too.
Our boys of the Under 14 Football Team came home triumphant, beating the
Bishop’s Undri team by 2-0 at the Bishop’s Invitational Football
Tournament
in the Final Match, on 23rd of July. The ever increasing number of
trophies
prove beyond a doubt, that The Kalyani School is becoming a name to
reckon
with, in the field of sports too.
Advika Singh, of Grade VII C, made us proud by completing the 5 Km run
at
the Pune Marathon. We congratulate her energetic performance on the
track.
Anika Dubey of Grade VII has won the HCL Southern Slam, Chennai, Squash
Championship. She has also bagged the Maharashtra State Closed Squash
Championship held in Pune from 14th to 17th of September. What makes it
even
more noteworthy is, that she played in the Girls Under-15 category
In sports, Hridhaan Shah of Grade – VII C has distinguished himself too.
He
won the Squash Junior Championship organized in Mumbai, in the month of
May.
Sayesha, of Jr. KG B participated in the Beginners’ category at a
Competition organized by Life Gymnastics Centre at Chinchwad, and was
awarded the Gold Medal. The Kalyaniites are proud of our little champ.
The Kalyani School boys shone in the sports field this summer. The Under
14
team brought home the Football Victory Cup, 2022 on 5th of May. They
defeated the opposite team by 5-1 in the finals at Legends 13 Sports
Club,
Bibewadi. The boys of Grade XII brought in more accolades, when they won
the
Summer Fest on 22nd May, at PSA Sports Arena – Gangadham. May our heroes
continue to amaze us and do us proud.

Pune City Karate Competition, 2022. They gave commendable performances

The Kalyani School applauds Sr. K.G. student, Luvya Dixit, for his
recent
achievement of getting a Silver Medal in a Tennis Tournament, conducted
by
ABC Sports Academy on 15th of Feb. While keeping up well with his
academics,
he manages to get enough time to pursue extracurricular activities as
well.

Karan Nambisan and Kartik Nambisan of Grade VI, participated and won the1st and 3rd positions respectively, in the Leo's Li'l Speech Master - Season 8 Competition, conducted by the Toastmasters Gavel Club of Amanora, on the 11 th of June, 2023. They won the coveted title in the age group of 11 to 13 years, in a nerve wracking competition of 3 Rounds - 2 levels of PreparedSpeech and finally, an Impromptu Speech. The Kalyaniites applaud their speaking and presentation skills, and wish them more success in the future.
Krishika Sengupta from Grade II has won Second Position in the level 1 rounds of Wizkid Premier League across all participating schools in the Master OratorCompetition. In the 6-8 years category, organized by Wizkids Carnivals too, she was one of the Finalists, selected from about 10,000 entrants. She was awarded a Certificate and Finalist Trophy. The Kalyaniites congratulate her on this significant achievement, and wish to see her attain greater heights across academic and extracurricular platforms.
Maithili Jagdale from Grade IV has made us proud by receiving awards in the All India Kids' Premier League, held by Wizkids Carnival. In Recite-it (Category - 9-11 age group), she was awarded the 2nd Runner up Trophy, Certificate and a Scholarship of Rs. 2000. In Color Wizard (Category - 9-11 age group) she received the Finalist's Trophy and Certificate. The Competitions were conducted between April and July, 2023, in both online and offline modes.Students from 39 cities participated in theSemifinals and Final rounds. We congratulate Maithili for her outstanding performance and wish her more success in the coming years.
Hitansh Jain was declared the Winner in the 7th IITPK Rapid Tournament, in the Under-15 category,on 24th of July. It was organized by Victorious Chess Academy at Elpro International School,Chinchwad. He was awarded the Winner'sTrophy and a certificate, along with a cash prize of Rs. 4000. We are proud of his continuous success story and shall wait for more.
The budding artists of TKS have made their mark in the International Monsoon DrawingCompetition at Sadhu Vaswani School. Tilak Bhimrajka of Grade IX got the Third Prize; and Rajveer Undre from Grade VII, and Aanshi Bhatia from Grade VI got Special Appreciation for their performances. We are very proud of them and are sure that they will bring more accolades in the coming years.
As a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav(AKAM), a campaign on celebrating ‘Rashtriya Boudhik
Sampada Mahotsav’, CSIR Institutes conducted a workshop on ‘Patent for Beginners’ at CSIR-NCL,
on 11th of July, to create awareness of Intellectual Property (IP) among school students at an early
stage. A Quiz Competition was conducted after the workshop, in which Shaurya Singh of Grade XII
secured the First Prize. We are proud of his achievement, and wish him more success in life.
Rishon Tripathy of Grade XI, attended a Horse Riding Competition and won 2nd Position for 'Show Jumping' and 5th position for 'Show Jumping - Top Score'. Rishon has been riding for almost a decade and trains sincerely for the sport. We are happy for him and wish to see him going all the way to win many such laurels.
