In a District Level Chess Tournament, Abeer Maddhav, from Grade VI secured 1st Position in
the U-12 Boys’ category
Hridhaan Shah of Grade X, once again received the First Prize in the U-17 Boys’ ZP Inter
School Squash Championship, conducted by District Sports Office and Pune Municipal
Corporation. The event was conducted on 14th of October at the Maharashtra Squash
Academy, Undri. With this victory, Hridhaan has qualified for the Pune Division level tournament.
This is not all!! Hridhaan also won the Second Prize in the U-15 Sub Junior-National Squash
Championship held in Kolkata from October 19th-25th, by Squash Rackets Federation of India
(SGFI). On 27th of October, once again, he secured the First Position in the ZP Pune Divisional
Squash Championship, at the Maharashtra Squash Academy, Undri, which was organized by
the Pune Divisional Sports Office
Students from Grades VI to X represented The Kalyani School in Vagmita, a literary event in
Hindi and Sanskrit, hosted by Delhi Public School, on 16th of October. They distinguished
themselves with their exemplary performances and brought home laurels. Arjun Jain, of Grade
X, won the First Prize in the Speech Competition. Ananya Komath, Niyati Asati, Avni Kharde,
also from Grade X, received the Second Prize in ‘Vigyapan’. Shreya Kukanur, from Grade X,
won the Second Prize in Sanskrit Illustration. Aayushi Chaudhary and S. Srivardhan, from
Grade VIII received the Third Prize in Sanskrit Storytelling.
Akiev Keer of Grade XII, has done it again this month. He has secured 1st Position in not just
one, but three events at the U-19 Boys’ Pune Division Swimming Competition held in Balewadi,
on 10th of October, at the Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sports Complex Swimming Pool. He
was the winner in the 50 m Butterfly, 100 m Butterfly, and also in the 100 m Freestyle. This
impressive achievement has qualified Akiev for the Maharashtra School State Swimming
Competition.
Vian Sharma, Grade II C, has secured 2nd place in gymnastic U-8 (springboard) and 3rd place in
Gymnastic U-8 for the floor at Vibgyor High School.
Arjun Shukla, Grade II B, has secured second place in gymnastic U-8 for floor at Vibgour High
School.
Kavin Dixit, grade II, stood 2
nd overall in U-8 in a chess tournament, 2
nd Little Dragon, held in
Singapore. He also bagged 1
st position in the U9 category of the GO checkmate chess
tournament held in Singapore. He won cash & trophy as an acknowledgement for playing over
his age tournament.
Shubra Sharma, Grade III, C, secured 1st prize in Michael flips, freestyle 50 meters, at the Fern
Mundhwa on November 17th, 2024
Hridhaan Shah of Grade X has made his mark once again this month, with his outstanding
performance in the 65th Daly College National Open Squash Tournament. He has secured the 1st
Position in the U-17 Boys’ category. It was organized by SRFI (Squash Racket Federation of
India) on 4th of November
Rayansh Bhardwaj from Grade VIII, and Aryan Arora from Grade VII reached the Final level in
the Sakal Schoolympics Table Tennis Doubles Competition, 2024. They participated in the Boys’
12 to 14 age group. The event was conducted on 22nd of November, at Deccan Gymkhana,
Pune, by the Sakal Publications.
In a District level Swimming Competition held at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sports Complex Swimming Pool, Balewadi, Akiev Keer of Grade XII secured the 1st Place in 50 M Butterfly Stroke and in the 100 M Freestyle Stroke, in the Boys’ U-19 category. It was organized by the District Sports Office, Pune and the Pune Municipal Corporation, on 2nd and 3rd of September
Keeyana Srivastava of Sr. KG, participated in the GEMA World Story Telling Competition '24, where young storytellers from around the globe can showcase their creativity and storytelling skills. She expressed her commendable language skills and added a spark of imagination in the event. She has been awarded a National Prize.
Aarav Vatyani of Grade VI participated in the Taekwondo Champions of Champions (COC) India Final at the Divisional Sports Complex, Adgaon Naka, Nashik, on 20th of September. He competed in the 11 years under 38 kg Sub-junior category and won the Gold Medal.
In Indradhanush, an event conducted by Sanskriti School, Undri, on 2nd of August, Bibhas Nayak of Grade X made a distinctive mark by securing the 1st Position in the Tote Bag Decoration category.
Kartik Nambisan and Karan Nambisan of Grade VII have done it again! They secured the 2nd and 3rd Positions respectively, at the Creative Writing Competition held by Wizkids Carnival. The competition has overall 4 levels, of which they both had performed commendably in the first two levels and have now qualified for the Semi-Finals, which is the 3rd Level. It is a National level competition and the proud winners brought home a Silver and a Bronze Medal, Certificates and books as their prizes.
Hitansh Jain of Grade IX and Yatharth Bhuyan of Grade X distinguished themselves by securing the 5th and 10th Positions respectively, out of 859 participants, in the U-17 Boys Zila Parishad Chess Tournament, conducted at the Rajaram Biku Pathare Sports Complex, Kharadi, on 10th and 11th of August, organized by District Sports Office, Pune. Hitansh has also qualified for the Zonal level tournament.
Hridhaan Shah secured the 3rdPosition in the U-17 Boys GCH All India Squash Championship, Mumbai, 2024. It was conducted at the Garware Club House,Mumbaifrom 19th to 24th of August. It was a national level tournament and Hridhaan has once again proved his mettle on the sportsfield.
Hridhaan Bhardiya of Grade VIII has made us proud by securing the 3rd Position in the U-14 Boys Chess Viva Compilation, Pune 2024. The event was organized by the Vibgyor School, Balewadi, on 17th of August.
Hridhaan Shah of Grade X secured the 1st Position in the U-15 Boys’ Squash Open & PSA Challenge Tournament 2024, organised by The Poona Club Ltd, from the 8th to the 12th of May. It was a National level Championship, and Hridaan’s commendable achievement is a matter of pride for us.
Hridaan also won Second Place in the U-15 HCL 14th Indian Junior Open, which was held in Daly College, Indore, from the 22nd to the 27th of May. His constant success shows that he has taken sports equally seriously as his academics and has taken him to great heights in both fields.
Siya Bajaj of Grade XI has made us proud by acquiring the Third Position in the Shot Put Women’s category in a district-level competition.
The Poona District Amateur conducted the event Athletics Association on the 18th of May at Sanas Ground, Swargate. She has been selected for the State-Level Athletics Championships. We congratulate her on her achievement and wish her more success in the coming matches.
FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) India Championship Robotics Competition was held in Goa in the first week of June. Siddharth Rajagopal Bist from Grade VII and Darsh Ahuja from Grade VIII of The Kalyani School were a part of team ‘Horcruxes’ from Robominds (www.Robominds.in).
. The team won the coveted ‘Inspire Award’ given to the best-performing team. The participants demonstrated excellence in teamwork and proved their technological superiority in the competition. The Award validates that the Kalyaniites have made a very positive impression with their brilliant minds and are ready for more.
Karan Nambisan and Kartik Nambisan from Grade VII participated in a Toastmasters Speech Contest called ‘Leo's Li'l Speech Masters Season – 9’, conducted by the Gavel Club of Amanora in Pune on 1st and 2nd of June. More than 80 participants across the age bracket of 7 to 15 years participated. It was a tough competition with 3 rounds.
Both the Kalyaniites had worked hard on their speeches and diction during the summer vacation, and their sincere efforts bore fruits when Karan won Third Place, and Kartik was among the top 10 finalists. They were awarded with a certificate and trophy.

Tournament in the month of April-May, 2024.

player, secured the 7th Position in the Under-15 category in the Open District
Level of BR Ambedkar Mahotsav Chess Tournament in Pune, on 7th and 8th of April.

of Scholastic Writers’ Academy, Rudraveer Singh Chauhan of Grade VI, has coauthored
a book titled, ‘Bookworm Geniuses’.

held at COEP on 27th April. He obtained the Runners-up position in the U-17 Boys category.

U-19 Boys Pune District Chess Selection Tournament conducted on 20th - 21st of April
at the Pune District Chess Circle. It was organized at Millennium National School,
Karve Nagar. Hitansh will participate in the Maharashtra Chess tournament.

Abbas Tejani from Grade VI, recently participated
in a tournament representing the Pune United Football Academy, and won the Golden
Glove award for being the best goal keeper of the tournament.
Hridhaan Shah of Grade IX participated in the
International level of REDtone Junior Open 2023, and achieved the 5th Postion
in the Boys’ U-15 category. The event was conducted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia,
by the Asian Squash Federation on 5th to 10th of December. To add to the feathers
in his cap, Hridhaan won the CSK Squash Open 2023 Tournament in the U-15 Boys’
category. The Tournament was a National level 3 star event, organized by SRFI
(Squash Racket Federation of India), on 13th - 17th December. We applaud
Hridhaan’s continuous successes, which are a result of his constant dedication
and focus on the sport. Way to go, Hridhaan!!
Zidaan Nalwala, of Grade IV, took part in Oceankids
500 m, at Oceanman World Finals in Phuket, Thailand. He received a finisher’s
medal and finished in 9:49 mins, in the 5th place, in the Boys’ U-11 category.
He has now qualified for the World Finals, which are going to be conducted in 2024.
We are proud to see him reach such heights of success at such a young age.

Ananya Komath of Grade IX, secured the Second
Position at the All India Kids Premier League - Colour Wizards 2023 Challenge
in the 12-15 age category. The Competition was organized online, by Wizkidscarnival.
We are proud of Ananya’s many creative talents, and wish to see her continue

Dhruv from Sr. KG finished in the Third Position
in the final race of the 200 meters State Level Skating Championship, winning
a Bronze Medal. The event was organized by YAK Public School, Khopoli, on 16th
and 17th of December. Over 1000 talented racers from various parts of Maharashtra
competed in the race. He secured the Second place in two League Matches before
the final one. We congratulate him on his achievement and look forward to

Chess continues uninterrupted. He stood 2nd in the under-14 Boys Chess Tournament
organized by the Zilla Parishad, and got selected to play at the Zonal level. 800
players participated and only the first 5 players were selected for the final round.
Kushagrh Gaurav Deb of Grade II, has made the school proud. Even at this tender
age, he has participated in some challenging competitions, and made his mark
in each one of them. In the Mental Math World Cup 2023 Challenger Category,
he has secured the 1st rank at the School Level. In the 4th All India Inter-School

Interdistrict Squash Rackets Championship held in Pune, on 9th and 10th of September.
He has also secured the 5th position in the 46th Maharashtra State Open, in Mumbai.
Ishaan Muzamdar has been selected for State level to represent Pune
District team for Basketball state championship. They are selected on
their performance in the recently concluded Pune District Basketball
Championship at deccan gymkhana.
Ishan Muzumdar participated in the Sub-junior U-16 Basketball District Championship,
conducted by the Ad-Hoc Committee, in association with Deccan Gymkhana, Pune, from 26th
of April to 1st of May. The team emerged winners at the championship, and Ishan was selected for a preparatory camp for the upcoming State Basketball Championship.
We are proud to announce that out of 24 candidates, Ishan was selected in the final team of 12 players, to represent Pune District At the State Basketball Championship, held at Aurangabad
from 19 th to 23rd of May.
Team Pune emerged winners at the StateBasketball Championship. This remarkable feat is just the beginning, and we wish Ishan a lot more success in his life ahead.
Ruhaan Bandyopadhyay, of Grade V has won the Gold Medal in Under-12
Inter
School Professional Inline Skating Championships, which was conducted on
16th of April, at Oxford World School, Kharadi. We congratulate him

Zidaan, of Grade III, continued with his sports feats this month too. In
the
59th Sunk Rock Light House to Gateway of India Sea Swimming Race in
Mumbai,
he bagged the 3rd Position, in the 1 km for 8-9 year category. He
finished
in 17 minutes 51 seconds. Great going Zidaan! We wish to see you going
from
strength to strength.
In Khel Utsav Tournaments, played in the month of February, the TKS U-14
Boys’ Team won the Mumbai Indians Jr. 1st match against Aryans World
School,
by 6 wickets. They were the winners in the second match too, beating
Prodigy
School by 9 wickets. The 3rd match was played against Jai Hind School,
where
again the TKS team won by 168 runs to reach the Semi-finals.
U-14 Girls Handball team stood 2nd in the ZilhaParishad District
competition.

Science Olympiad IGKO. Even at such a tender age she is all poised to

The students of Grade V represented The Kalyani School in the

United Nations World Geospatial International Congress (UNWGIC). They
had to
research and speak on ‘Sustainability in Cities and Communities’. Kartik

On 6th of August, the Under-14 team of our accomplished Footballers
secured
3rd place amongst 80 teams in the Subroto Mukherjee Football Cup by
defeating St Vincent’s High School by 4 goals to 2. It was another
feather
in the cap for the young heroes, who are balancing their academics and
sports interests admirably well. May they go from strength to strength.
On 23rd and 24th of July, The Kalyani School students participated in
the
Invitational State Level Karate Championship, 2022 and gave a splendid
performance by winning multiple medals in all the categories. We
congratulate and wish the participants and the awardees the very best in
future events too.
Our boys of the Under 14 Football Team came home triumphant, beating the
Bishop’s Undri team by 2-0 at the Bishop’s Invitational Football

Competition organized by Life Gymnastics Centre at Chinchwad, and was

The Kalyani School boys shone in the sports field this summer. The Under
14
team brought home the Football Victory Cup, 2022 on 5th of May. They
defeated the opposite team by 5-1 in the finals at Legends 13 Sports
Club,
Bibewadi. The boys of Grade XII brought in more accolades, when they won

Summer Fest on 22nd May, at PSA Sports Arena – Gangadham. May our heroes

On the 3rd of May, the students of The Kalyani School participated in
the
Pune City Karate Competition, 2022. They gave commendable performances
and
the following have been selected for the state championship. Aaradhya

for
sports will surely pave the way for even bigger successes in the future.
On 12th and 13th of March, the Kalyaniites participated in the District
Selection Karate Competition. We proudly announce the names of the
students
who have made their mark in it. Aaradhya Pote of II D, Aanya Saraf of
III C,
Swarali Raskar of IV B, Arnav Pote of IV B, Ritkri Adwaith of V D,
Tanmay
Kargupta of VI D, and Aanya Ranjit of VI B were proud winners of medals
for
their excellent performances. Aakash Garg of VII A passed his Black Belt
Exam, which was also conducted on the same day. Kudos to all!
The Kalyani School applauds Sr. K.G. student, Luvya Dixit, for his
recent
achievement of getting a Silver Medal in a Tennis Tournament, conducted
by
ABC Sports Academy on 15th of Feb. While keeping up well with his
academics,
he manages to get enough time to pursue extracurricular activities as
well.
Luvya cherishes playing Tennis, Chess and Cycling in his free time.
We proudly announce that Arnav Pote from Grade IV B, received a Yellow
Belt
In Karate, from the Martial Arts Association. He got an A grade and a
gold
medal. This stands as another proof of how the Kalyaniites grow in
stature
every day.

Aron Gupta of Grade XI, participated in a Horse Riding Competition during the summer vacation, and has won accolades for his commendable performance. He bagged the 2nd Position in Trot Race and 3rd Position in Pole Bending. We appreciate his sporting skills and wish him the very best for his future ventures.
It is a proud moment for the school to announce that Hitansh Jain won the First Prize In the Under-14 Boys category in Orbichess2023 Competition, held at The Orbis School, on24th of June. He was awarded with a gold medal, trophy and certificate for his achievement. Kudos Hitansh
Karan Nambisan and Kartik Nambisan of Grade VI, participated and won the1st and 3rd positions respectively, in the Leo's Li'l Speech Master - Season 8 Competition, conducted by the Toastmasters Gavel Club of Amanora, on the 11 th of June, 2023. They won the coveted title in the age group of 11 to 13 years, in a nerve wracking competition of 3 Rounds - 2 levels of PreparedSpeech and finally, an Impromptu Speech. The Kalyaniites applaud their speaking and presentation skills, and wish them more success in the future.
Krishika Sengupta from Grade II has won Second Position in the level 1 rounds of Wizkid Premier League across all participating schools in the Master OratorCompetition. In the 6-8 years category, organized by Wizkids Carnivals too, she was one of the Finalists, selected from about 10,000 entrants. She was awarded a Certificate and Finalist Trophy. The Kalyaniites congratulate her on this significant achievement, and wish to see her attain greater heights across academic and extracurricular platforms.
Maithili Jagdale from Grade IV has made us proud by receiving awards in the All India Kids' Premier League, held by Wizkids Carnival. In Recite-it (Category - 9-11 age group), she was awarded the 2nd Runner up Trophy, Certificate and a Scholarship of Rs. 2000. In Color Wizard (Category - 9-11 age group) she received the Finalist's Trophy and Certificate. The Competitions were conducted between April and July, 2023, in both online and offline modes.Students from 39 cities participated in theSemifinals and Final rounds. We congratulate Maithili for her outstanding performance and wish her more success in the coming years.
Hitansh Jain was declared the Winner in the 7th IITPK Rapid Tournament, in the Under-15 category,on 24th of July. It was organized by Victorious Chess Academy at Elpro International School,Chinchwad. He was awarded the Winner'sTrophy and a certificate, along with a cash prize of Rs. 4000. We are proud of his continuous success story and shall wait for more.
The budding artists of TKS have made their mark in the International Monsoon DrawingCompetition at Sadhu Vaswani School. Tilak Bhimrajka of Grade IX got the Third Prize; and Rajveer Undre from Grade VII, and Aanshi Bhatia from Grade VI got Special Appreciation for their performances. We are very proud of them and are sure that they will bring more accolades in the coming years.
As a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav(AKAM), a campaign on celebrating ‘Rashtriya Boudhik
Sampada Mahotsav’, CSIR Institutes conducted a workshop on ‘Patent for Beginners’ at CSIR-NCL,
on 11th of July, to create awareness of Intellectual Property (IP) among school students at an early
stage. A Quiz Competition was conducted after the workshop, in which Shaurya Singh of Grade XII
secured the First Prize. We are proud of his achievement, and wish him more success in life.
Rishon Tripathy of Grade XI, attended a Horse Riding Competition and won 2nd Position for 'Show Jumping' and 5th position for 'Show Jumping - Top Score'. Rishon has been riding for almost a decade and trains sincerely for the sport. We are happy for him and wish to see him going all the way to win many such laurels.
