For most of my life, I was an ICSE student, comfortable with familiar textbooks, exam patterns, and routines. But after 10th grade, my school didn’t offer higher classes, so I had to step out of my comfort zone and find a new place to continue my studies. That search led me to The Kalyani School in Pune, often regarded as one of the best CBSE schools in Pune for its balance of academics, creativity, and values. At first, the idea of changing boards felt overwhelming—would I adjust to a new curriculum or fit in with new classmates? Yet, the more I learned about the vibrant campus, supportive teachers, and opportunities beyond the classroom, the more I felt drawn to it. Walking through its gates, nervous yet hopeful, I realised I was beginning a new chapter in CBSE secondary education.
My first day at The Kalyani School felt like stepping into a whole new world. The long hallways, the crowds of students, and the energy of the campus were unlike anything I had known in my smaller ICSE school. Even small changes stood out—sharing a desk instead of having one to myself, or switching from black pens to blue. At first, these differences and my new subjects made me feel out of place. But my class teachers, with their cheerful smiles and encouragement, quickly eased my worries. Their approach reflected the school’s learning teaching methodology —where lessons go beyond textbooks, focusing on support, creativity, and confidence. Slowly, the hallways didn’t seem so intimidating anymore, and the routines began to feel like part of my own story.
The foundation for such advanced learning begins at the early stages of education. The Kalyani School is known as one of the best pre-schools and primary schools in Pune, because it helps develop essential skills such as communication, curiosity, confidence and discipline. It also has its focus on nurturing creativity and building strong learning habits, which form the base for future academic and personal growth.
As I settled in, the nervousness of those first few days gave way to excitement. One of my fondest memories is the “Form Morning,” where the auditorium buzzed with laughter and rehearsals, as our entire grade united to put on a great show. I met new people, made friends, and discovered how quickly strangers could turn into teammates. I also got to know many teachers better, especially my legal studies teacher, whose lively and engaging classes inspire me as I dream of pursuing law. It was the small things—like hosting programmes or joining group activities where everyone’s voice mattered—that made me feel I truly belonged. Another unforgettable experience was the IAYP practice journey, an overnight stay filled with games and competitions that brought my class closer than ever. What makes me love The Kalyani School is that it doesn’t only focus on academics, but offers unique ways to grow—not just for a future career, but also as a human being. I admire how organized the school is, with a yearly calendar that lays out every event from the start, giving us clarity and stability. I appreciate how teachers are always there to support and listen, whether it’s about studies or personal worries, and how understanding everyone is. Most of all, I cherish my friends, who have made this year joyful, unpredictable, and unforgettable.
The memories I’ve made show me that The Kalyani School is not just about learning, but about living, growing, and belonging. Whether it was the Form Morning, IAYP, or everyday laughter with friends, these moments remind me why I love this school. The Kalyani School is where I found my place, and that story needs no more words.
